I was just thinking of the time I went to see Rush on the Roll the Bones tour at Miami Arena in 1992.

As I walked up the steps of the arena I turned to the people I was with and said “that’s Neil Peart” and pointed at Neil standing with a bike outside the arena (with I think Tim from Primus on his bike). I don’t know if they believed me because of how casually I said it and the way I kept moving despite being a big fan of Rush and Neil in particular. I knew he was a private person and was happy to see he wasn’t recognized by most of the Rush fans or that they also gave him his space if they did.

That show I was third row floor right in front of both Geddy Lee and Les Claypool. I was so close I could hear the drums acoustically as well as the P.A.
